Apply Method
I. Clean the mold with two
alternative methods after removing the workpiece.
1. For cleaning a general mold
chasis: prepare a mixture of 50% RBS-35 and 50% clean water,
heat it to 80-90¢XC and soak the mold chasis in the solution
for 1-2 hours. The mold chasis will return to its brand new
state again. In case of stubborn stains, prolong the soaking
to 4-8 hours. After soaking, rinse the mold with clean water
and dry it with oven.
2. Using an ultrasonic cleaning machine may shorten the
cleaning time as well as to allow an effective cleaning at a
low concentration of the solution. Increasing the
concentration or temperature of the mold cleaning solution
may also expedite the cleaning process. However, when using
a high-temperature cleaning solution, the workpiece must be
washed with water immediately after removing from the
solution.
II. When the mold is on the
packaging machine
1. Dilute the solution to a
concentration of 2% (volume), this shall be adequate for the
work.
2. If possible, lower the mold temperature to 80-100¢XC for a
better effect.
3. Apply the cleaning solution to the lower part of the mold
with a nylon brush or cotton cloth, followed by closing the
mold for 3-5 minutes, allowing the vapor of the RBS-35 to
reach the upper part of the mold.
4. Separate the mold; blow off softened stain from the mold
surface using a jet of compressed air. Further clean the
mold with a nylon brush if necessary.
5. After that, clean the mold with CLEAN COMPOND, a mold
cleaning jelly, so as to completely clean the mold.
